Growing up, Chris and Lauren never had aspirations of becoming farmers. We enjoyed the convenience of living in downtown Chattanooga, with all of our favorite restaurants and activities just a stone's throw away. However, a small vegetable garden on the porch of our apartment sparked a newfound interest in growing our own food.
Over time, Chris began feeling burnt out from his job and we began seeking out a more balanced and healthier lifestyle. As we learned more about health and nutrition, we realized the importance of knowing where our food comes from. We decided to prioritize living a simpler life and began searching for a piece of property in the country.
After months of searching, we were blessed to find a 37-acre piece of paradise in North Georgia, just a short drive from Chattanooga. We made the move and started to set up our homestead.
Chris' cousin Hunter came to visit us and he fell in love with the property. He has experience managing a small farm in Michigan and together we are building Sunny Hill Farm. A slice of heaven on earth being built using sustainable farm practices…
